Indiana University has signed agreements with Blackboard Inc. and Desire2Learn Inc. to join Next.IU, the two-year pilot program to assess the technologies that best support teaching and learning at the university. Next.IU launched in fall 2012 with exploratory studies of Instructure's Canvas learning management system (LMS) and CourseNetworking's social media-based learning environment.

Indiana University today announces SAGE as the latest publisher to sign on to its eTexts initiative. SAGE is now the 11th publisher to partner with the university to provide digital materials to students on all IU campuses.
