This year, numerous Indiana University information technology communicators have been honored by their peers. Four IU communications products will be recognized by the Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on University and College Computing Services. Three of these were awarded best of category. The Society for Technical Communication also presented a Distinguished Award, an International Award of Merit, and three Awards of Excellence to IU communicators earlier this year.

Dolinsky holds a dual appointment as an assistant professor in the Henry Radford Hope School of Fine Arts at Indiana University Bloomington and as a research scientist in the IU Advanced Visualization Lab (AVL).

The Building Bridges Award honors members of the community who display the leadership and social consciousness embodied by Dr. King. For many years, Allmayer has contributed greatly to the IU and the Bloomington communities with her steadfast commitment to social justice and outreach.

David Heald, database analyst and Stephanie Snider, GIS specialist, both of University Information Technology Services, and Nathan Eaton, information services manager of IU's Indiana Geological Survey, received the Indiana GIS Award during the Council's annual conference.
