Each radio spot also has a corresponding three to five minute video segment on the Security Matters website, demonstrating simple steps that listeners can take to protect against cyber threats.

Indiana University President Michael McRobbie today (July 13) named Bradley C. Wheeler vice president for information technology. Wheeler is IU acting chief information officer and dean of information technology for IU Bloomington and a professor of information systems in the Kelley School of Business. Wheeler, who will succeed McRobbie as vice president for information technology, has been a member of IU's information technology leadership team for the last five years.

The Indiana Geographic Information Council recently recognized three Indiana University staff members for developing a user-friendly mechanism for downloading multiple files from the Indiana Spatial Data Portal (ISDP), a large repository of Indiana geospatial data. David Heald, database analyst and Stephanie Snider, GIS specialist, both of University Information Technology Services, and Nathan Eaton, information services manager of IU's Indiana Geological Survey, received the Indiana GIS Award during the Council's annual conference. Beverly Teach has been appointed manager of UITS Classroom Technology Services, and David Donaldson has been appointed manager of UITS Media Design and Production. Reporting to Elizabeth Van Gordon, these managers and their groups will have responsibility for both the IUB and IUPUI campuses and will provide services to other campuses.
