Bible study

Lilly Endowment Inc. has awarded the Center for the Study of Religion and American Culture at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis a $507,000 grant to support a study on how Americans relate to the Bible in their everyday lives. The three-year project, The Bible in American Life, is the first large-scale national study on the way scripture is read and interpreted in everyday life.  More »

50th anniversary

Theater Northwest will celebrate its 50th anniversary with its fall production, Reckless, which opened Nov. 10. Additional performances are Nov. 11 through Nov.13. IU Northwest Assistant Professor of Acting and Directing Mark Baer is directing the dark comedy, which will be IU's first production at a new venue, Theatre Northwest at Arts on Grant.  More »
