Indiana University Bloomington students, faculty, staff and community members will gather today (Friday, Nov. 11) in Dunn Meadow for a tree planting organized by the IU Bloomington Tree Campus USA steering committee. Economical economics book

College textbooks can be expensive -- and at some point, most textbooks need to be updated. With those thoughts in mind, Professor of Economics David Dilts and Assistant Professor of Economics Myeong Hwan Kim, of Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne's Richard T. Doermer School of Business, successfully updated an economics textbook and made it an economical buy. Economics (published by Kendall Hart of Dubuque, Iowa) was published over the summer and is in use in college classrooms today. More »
A complex new reality

Last week, more than 160 Indiana University Bloomington faculty members joined IU Provost and Executive Vice President Karen Hanson, Dean of University Libraries Brenda L. Johnson and a panel of eight faculty colleagues for a conversation on the future of research libraries. Celebrating 100 years

Nearly 400 people, including Indiana University President Michael McRobbie and IUPUI Chancellor Charles Bantz, came together to celebrate 100 years of work by the Indiana University School of Social Work Oct. 24 on the IUPUI campus. The event included a special recognition letter delivered from Washington, D.C., by Richard Reed, special assistant to the President for Homeland Security and senior director for Resilience Policy.
