'Angels in America' author visit

Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner will speak at Indiana University at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 13 in the Fine Arts Auditorium (FA015). Kushner, who also won an Emmy and two Tony awards and was nominated for an Oscar, will deliver the latest in a series of lectures sponsored by the College Arts & Humanities Institute. More »
'Living With Lynching'

Literary historian and cultural critic Koritha Mitchell will present a lecture titled "Living With Lynching: African American Drama and Citizenship" at IU Bloomington at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, in the Studio Theatre on the second floor of the Theatre and Drama Building. Mitchell specializes in African-American literature, racial violence throughout U.S. literature and culture, and black drama and performance. Currently, she is an associate professor of English at Ohio State University. More »

The IU Northwest Anthropology Club will celebrate the 203rd birthday of famed evolutionary theorist Charles Darwin, and the 153rd anniversary of the publication of his seminal work, "On the Origin of Species," Wednesday, Feb. 15. More »
Student, faculty exhibitions

Works by current, former and visiting faculty with IU's Henry Radford Hope School of Fine Arts are on display at IU's Grunwald Gallery of Art and will remain on exhibit through Saturday, Feb. 11. Painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, graphic design, digital art, textiles, video, metalsmithing and photography by MFA and BFA students at IU Bloomington will also be on display at the Grunwald this month.
