Cisco joins Interoperability Lab
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 13, 2011
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Networking giant Cisco is the latest company to join InCNTRE's Software-Defined Networking Interoperability Lab, the world's only neutral, third-party testing lab for SDN.
By collaborating with the lab, Cisco is supporting the development of standards-based SDN technologies such as OpenFlow, said Matt Davy, InCNTRE director and IU's chief network architect.
"We are excited to work with Cisco in the Interoperability Lab," said Davy. "Cisco obviously has a large share of the networking market. As our lab facilitates OpenFlow interoperability testing with Cisco products, this will enable many more companies and organizations to start working with OpenFlow. "
Cisco joins the lab's five existing member companies: Big Switch Networks, Brocade, HP, IBM, and NEC.
